Hotels in Seminyak?

The 3 of us (all women in late 20's) are going to Bali at the end of September for 5 days. We have heard from a friend that we should stay in Seminyak because the hotels are quieter but it's close to the action. Can you recommend any hotels in Seminyak that are around $100? Thanks.

may i suggest that you look for hotels in the sanur area as well...the bali hyatt is the biggest...the town of sanur offers lots of restaurants and bars and is very convenient to kuta and other places...

In the Seminyak area try the Semaya or the Sofitel. I've never stayed at either but I've walked by several thousand times and they look appealing. Semaya is close to La Lucciola and Kuteda. Sofitel is a bit further up the beach. Both have nice beaches and public areas.

End of September is low season so you should be able to get a good rate on a two bedroom suite or a villa. Tell them what you're willing to pay and you may be surprised.

I stayed at Villa Lumbung for my first trip to Bali a few years ago, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it. Only drawback was that it was a bit of a hike to the beach.

On the beach, Resor Seminyak is quite nice. It's right next to La Lucciola.

We are always going to a small resort. Very quiet, extremely nice and close to the action but relaxing and very friendly people.
The place is called Bali Villa Ixora & Resort, Seminyak.
