What is the temperature over there...day and evening? I need to pack. And is it raining or sunny? See you soon. I have a 6:45AM flight tomorrow so I'll be arriving with one eye open and one eye closed. Happy Travels!

Just wanted to give you a heads up about the current weather. It's sunny and hot during the daytime. I hope I'm not getting too much sun too quickly. We've been out walking miles and miles!

In the evening, I'm thinking a sweater might be nice as it felt a little bit cool last night when we were out finding a quick meal before crashing in bed (jet lag, five hour time dif).

Looking forward to your arrival. I'm saving my shopping pennies... I don't want to go into LV wihtout moolah...

Qwen I carry an umbrella everyday in my bag, great for the sun if you are walking a bit, much cooler than wearing a hat. ...Saves you on the off chance of rain too. Rain will only be brief but if you are at an outdoor event like movie in Waikiki...move on up to the best seats others who don't have the umbrella will be leaving their spaces LOL.

Thanks Carol. I thought it might be a bit cool in the evening which is why I just threw the shawl into my suitcase.

Yes, and save those pennies...since LV is cheaper in Hawaii than on the mainland and the tax is lower than here in California! And we have to also hit the Burberry store in Waikiki and Ala Moana...They know me at both. Smiles. See you soon! Happy Travels!

Sarah...Thanks. We must have been posting at the same time. I have also thrown the umbrella into the suitcase in case of rain. I don't need it for sun. I'm used to lots of sun. Happy Travels!

Bob and Karen,
You will surely be missed here in HNL. Maybe next year.

BTW, I think guen's picture is along one of the hallways where they put family members who are DISTANT relatives. I don't think she is quite IN the royal immediate family... I'll have to ask one of the experts here.

I am really enjoying the Sheraton, btw. The view from the 24th floor is really awesome. We are looking down on the public Waikiki beach, with D'head in the background, but behind a number of hi-rise hotels.

Guen... looking forward to our shopping adventure. Thanks for the tip about prices at LV!

It's SIDE STREET INN on Hopaka Street near Ala Moana. Go down Pensacola, turn left at the 2nd small street after Kapiolani, and you'll see SSI on the right. Valet or street parking. They're telling us to get there before 6:30, so some of us are shooting for 6 just to make sure bc place will be packed for UH game.

Sarah, are u coming from Kailua? I live off the Pali below Wyllie Street. Can u pick me up? I'm trying to save the planet. Or u can come here and I can drive.

The big street party last night was absolutely lovely! The weather was perfect! We had a great time, dancing down Kalakaua Av. Linda can do more than the flamenco we saw in Pasadena!

Bob, I think guen has had some private training in the art of the dance. She had some groovy moves last night. A video would not do it justice...

I am sorry to report that my camera never came out of its case last night, but Cheryl was snapping away. I hope she will share her pics with all of us.

Looking forward to dinner at Side Street tonight, but first, the big shopping trip with guen. I'm off...

Aloha!

Great start to the gtg last night! Cheryl got some good photos. They won't be publically posted, but Cheryl will create a private online album.

We went out for a walk on the beach early this morning and ran into our neighbors, Peter and Linda!

if you go down pensacola and turn left on the second street, you will end up on kona st. in front of misty I and cache lounge. my fiends told me that these are gentlemen lounges.

you want to take the first left after kapiolani, then ss will be on your right side. see you there.
