Hong Kong- early April
Is early April weather good enough for some relaxing time round the hotel pool? I have only been to HK once( in July) and ended up exhausted by being on the go all the time! This time I want to spend more time in HK but at a more leisurely pace!

Which hotel? Hotel pools are usually pretty small in Hong Kong. And April is usually very humid, but not very warm.
I think you'd better off getting a nice hotel room with a harbor view, or go to a hotel coffee shop or lounge with a harborview, rather than the pool.

thanks- your reply helps with the decision making. As our trip is going to be expensive( also going to Vietnam and Bangkok) we are looking for a good hotel but not too expensive. We have stayed at the Excelsior before but it is a bit too much to spend this time.
We are looking at the Metropark at the moment but are very open to other recommendations!

I think you're from Scotland - I'm from Manchester - and so our idea of warm weather may not be quite the same as some others'
We spent part of our April honeymoon in Hong Kong 4 years ago and I'd certainly describe the weather when we were there as warm enough to spend at least some time relaxing around the hotel pool. We spent most of our time in shorts and t/shirts and saw quite a few locals on the beach during a trip to Lamma island.
A bit different from the weather during our trip there in December/January this year, but even then, we were quite comfortable during the daytime walking around in hoodies and sweaters, whilst the locals were wrapped up in arctic fleeces and padded jackets! I suppose it all depends on what you're used to.

I've just had a look at it and it does look very nice.
I think you're so right to try and plan in some relaxation time. On our first visit to HK we were only there for 3 nights, so didn't have time to relax. But the second time we were staying for a week each in Singapore and HK, so we deliberately chose hotels with good pools to give us somewhere to recuperate at the end of the day.
For our third trip (the honeymoon) we were spending the first week in HK, followed by 10 nights on Langkawi and so we thought we'd have plenty of time to relax and laze by the pool during the second part of our trip. We spent the entire week full out exploring and by the time we arrived on Langkawi, I was so exhausted that I flatly refused to move from the hotel for the first 3 days to give my feet a chance to recover!
Our last trip was another week, but this time, knowing that we both had to return to work 2 days after arriving home, we built in plenty of relaxation time and didn't tear around the place quite so madly.
