A visit to the Opera House would be a pleasant addition; modelled on the Paris Opera, it is a wonderful old building, restored about seven years ago to its former glory.
Make sure you allow time to just sit by the lake and watch the girls walking or riding (either way, they FLOAT) by in their ao-dais. A good way to renew your faith in a supreme creator!

I was in Hanoi a couple of years ago. We visited a folk song village where the performers sang the traditional songs in a 200 yr old pavilion. They are famous for the Quang Ho romantic song performed by groups of young women and men singing. We visited an 80-year old woman at home who was one of the stars years ago. It was amazing!
I'd also highly recommend the Sapa and BacHa area.
