Hanoi or Ho Chi Min?

Planning a trip to Vietnam.
1. If I have to choose between Hanoi or Ho Chi Min, which should I go for?
2. How many days should I spend in each?
3. Which hotel should I stay at? Looking at 4 to 5 stars.
4. Thinking of visiting in May - is that ok weather wise?

1. Hanoi
2. It really depends on how long you have.
3. Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi
4. It will be hot. More than that, I really don't know but that shouldn't be too hard to research.
Have a great trip.

A second vote for Hanoi, especially if you plan to go in May, which is getting VERY warm.
