Guides in BKK all booked. Help!
I have contacted all the Guides highly recommended in this Forum (Cherry, Julie, Rat and Tong). They are all busy during the time of our visit (Nov 16 22). I would appreciate any comments about the substitutes they offer? I have read that Tong's husband, for example, is not a guide and has poor English. Other suggestions would be appreciated.

Tong's husband is not a guide and generally not offered as one. (There was one instance recently but it was an exception to take someone to an obscure place her guides are unfamiliar with) The other members of her team are good and if one is available, I would recommend them.
Don't know about the others.

You don't really need a guide in Bangkok. Some people like to book a guide or a driver, but really you can do anyhting you want to do in Bangkok without a guide. If, once you get there, you really feel the need for a guide (or a driver) for a day, your hotel can easily arrange one for you.

We are looking for a guide/driver 16 to 22 Nov. Party of 5 including an 8 year old. I have already sent email to Cherry so look forward to results of your talk with her. Thanks Jerry ([email protected]).
