Greetings from Ponheary to her friends at Fodors

I'm here in Siem Reap and Ponheary and I, along with 3 of the board members from The Ponheary Ly Foundation (www.theplf.org) and her entire family, have been working like dogs, getting school supplies bundled and prepared for the 2,000 students we are about to put in school this year.

Ponheary and I were talking last night about all the support she has gotten from her friends at Fodors and she wished there was a way to give you all her heartfelt thanks. So I told her I would post her regards here. She really is overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from you all. She has struggled for so many years to help these kids and now this year for the first time she is really doing something BIG. She is grateful to not be forced to stand in front of 400 kids and have to CHOOSE. She says, "finally my heart does not have to break, because I can choose ALL."

Those of you who know Ponheary know her whole heart is wrapped around this effort. I wish you could all see her very satisfied face. And the hopeful confidence of these kids.

We send you their profound thanks.

Reports will follow on the website as soon as the dust settles.

Lori

Hi Lori!

Glad you made it there safe and sound!

Can't wait to see some updates on your blog and the plf website about your time there and the beginning of the school year.

Please tell Ponheary I'm very much looking forward to seeing her again when I'm there in December.

Lori,

What wonderful news...we're so happy to hear that things went so well this year!

Please send our warmest regards to Ponheary and Dara.

David's parents will be touring with her in a few weeks. Hoping they'll get to witness some of the good you guys are doing!

All our best,
Bill & David

Hugs to Ponheary from our family (last xmas, Bunto, the Victoria). I have lots of photos from our school visit and will try to get around to posting them on the site.

Give Ponheary our best. Technically, this post will avoid a penalty, but we expect a narrative soon.

Wow! 2000 students! That's just fabulous. I'm so glad Ponheary inspired you to start the PLF. Thanks so much for your hard work, Lori.

Forget about those of us who have donated money...you and Ponheary are the ones who deserve all the thanks. Those children are very lucky to have you!!!

Hi Lori,

thanks for making the PLF a reality so that we have an opportunity to help.

Please give my best to Ponheary. I was very fortunate to spend several days with her last November.

Spent my birthday with her at a school helping to distribute uniforms. It was by far the best birthday I can remember

Enjoy your travels!

The "News from the Field" section of the website has again been updated. I really enjoyed reading the new entry.

Great work, Lori and others!
