We used Banyan Tours. They were absolutely wonderful. I do not know if they do group tours--it doesn't hurt to ask. Banyan took excellent care of us.

My fiancé and I traveled to India summer 2013.

I highly recommend Louise Nicholson, a British art historian/India specialist who puts together arguably the most interesting cultural tours of the subcontinent. We traveled on a custom private tour designed by Louise, but have many well-traveled friends who are addicted to her group tours.
