magritten, we are indeed on the waiting list for 3 nights at Hotel Mume for our 2026 trip. We are also going to be staying at Baian again for a few nights -- even though the two are just a few minutes' walk from one another, they each hve their own feel and are sentimental favorites for us :~). as we'll be in Kyoto in early November, we hope to attend a dance performance that is part of the Gion Odori. we will probably also do another eBike tour, to the Arashimiya area, which we didn't get to last year.
