The Yanks come home today after a 4-2 record against the top two teams in their division while the RS are 3-4.

Speaking of opening days - April 18, 1923 Babe Ruth homers in the first game at Yankee Stadium and the Yanks beat the RS 4-1.

FW: Tell Putu Jeane and Craig say "hi" - see if he remembers us after 7 years. Seems like we are due to return - perhaps your Ubud update will provide some inspiration.

The Phoenix looked quite good from the lobby and with a crew you had and not being a senior it was a wise choice. But did you have a guide take you to the small villages where the locals using 1930's equipment make tofu in one village, flour out of palm tree core, or the village whre they make pottery of cooking on kilns from what look like the stone age. This was the value to us of a professional guide. It made the "real" culture of the interior of Indonesia come alive. We did not see a tourist in any of the visits we made.
Did you have a chance to see the spectacular views out at Dieng Plateau?

Been sitting here at Suvarnabhumi for the past 4 hours (after some duty free shopping and some lounging and requisite spa massage) sipping on a, yes, my Smeagol, a giant G&T (with a extra splash of G for the long trip back!)

My deepest apologies for dropping the ball once we got to Ubud on the live trip report, but things just got too exciting and we were having too much fun (and had terrible internet access) so I decided to shelve the rest of the report until we return to LA.

God knows I have enough time on our 15+ hr. trip back to LA to get some of these things down on paper now.

I also look forward to finally putting together my first official travel blog (my own--not on someone else's site) using this trip as a test subject. I plan to really get into the specifics there as well as upload a bunch of HD videos we took from all over our trip (of course once I add my editing wizardry--look out Spielberg!)

Anyway--sorry to keep anyone waiting, but hope you understand that sometimes vacation calls

Look forward to getting back and filling y'all in on the details--and hopefully terrorizing Andy as much as possible. It'll be good to be back

Talk to everyone real soon!

Have a safe flight Billy. Count your blessing you're not going to Europe or you would be stuck with us in Bangkok.

Is there a penalty for excessive use of emoticons?

Looking forward to your report and blog...

FW has proved in past reports that he is prompt. accurate and detailed. There is no penalty whatsoever for the little break in Ubud. WE awit the completion of your report and hope you do slip into Ekscrunchyland or even Smeagolopolis.

I'm not complicated enough to experience terror. However, I do relish a sharp poke in the ribs every now and then.
