film development

I am going to be visiting Thailand in a few months. I was wondering if photo film development is pretty reliable there.

Yes, it is, despite the huge popularity of digital cameras there are still numerous photo processing stores all over Thailand, you'll see the big FUJI and KODAK signs outside the stores. They all use those auto developing & printing machines which give very good results. If you need specialist printing then you'll find that too but you'll need to search around for them.

it is and it is cheap....i have not, however, liked the quality of the processing....even though they use kodak eqpt and some supplies, it is just not the same quality that i am used to at home....it is nice, however, not to worry about film being ruined by xrays....but processed pictures are heavy and take lots of room in suitcases...

When we had our pictures developed in Thailand, we also had them put all the images on a CD. They turned out lovely, and the prices were pretty good. We just went to a Kodak shop in a grocery store.

When we were in Bangkok I went into a store in the MBK Centre to download my photos from my memory card onto a CD. The girl in the store was very helpful but unfortunately not all of the photos got transferred over. I only realized this after I had erased the images from the memory card, so be careful.
