Family summer vac - trip report Thailand

Thank you all so much for your help. I picked up lots of useful tips and info from this board. I know that payment is in the form of a trip report so here is the link for the beginning of our Thailand vacation. I'm not a brilliant writer and I don't really enjoy writing, so there's probably more photos than text - sorry.

Cheers, Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl.....A picture says a thousand words. We are going to be in Chiang Mai in Feb. I was planning to leave out the umbrella factory because I thought it would be uninteresting but your pics look great.I haven't been able to get Srg. Kai to reply to my emails. I will resend them. Thanks again.

Thanks Cheryl, the pictures were wonderful. Looks like everyone was having a great time. Checking the dates, this is a little tardy, but the pictures were so wonderful, penalty waived.

Skittle, Sergeant Kai usually is very prompt replying to emails - perhaps he's away on a trek. He was great, very open and friendly. We liked him very much. His brother-in-law was the driver, and he has a fairly new Honda Odessy or Schuttle, which fits 7 or 8 people comfortably. If you are just looking for a driver, I can highly recommend Paew. Her contact details are in my web page. Her prices are considerably lower.

Gee thanks for letting me off this time, Gpanda!

Your feedback is appreciated.

Very nice blog. Loved the pix of the markets. Looks like you all had a great time.
How did you like your stay at Baan Orapin?

We were at the Baan Orapin for 4 nights. The family are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. We loved staying there. They also do laundry and the rates are so reasonable. This was one of the very best tips I picked up from this board - can't thank you all enough for this one!
