Easy Tour China-Anyone Know About This Co?

Easy Tour China is based out of Guillin. I found one reference in the forum. More info on this company, anyone?
I have looked at so many tours that I am now confused! I will be traveling solo and want the company of a group ( I am a "young" 50-somthing and would like a mixed age rather than senior group) BUT I enjoy having some free time as well. I am not looking for a "budget " tour nor a "delux" tour. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you had a good trip, Nancy.

I doubt that the original poster is still looking for a tour company since this thread was posted in 2005.

I note that our dear Nancy joined specially to spread the good work about Easy Tour China in Fodor's. Many thanks Nancy. What was the name of that company again?

We travelled to China in October 2011. Silvia Gan was our travel agent, and she is the most awesome travel agent we have ever had ( context - I have travelled to 55 countries). She works for Easy Tour China, and their arrangements were perfect. The hotels they chose were excellent, the guides were very helpful, and the restaurants that we were taken to were authentic and served delicious food. The cities that we visited were Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Lijiyang, Kunming, Guilin, Yangshuo and Shanghai.

When we landed in Beijing from Canada, she called to check on us. I mentioned that I would like to meet her since we were going to pass through Guilin. She immediately invited us for dinner (I had expected a short coffee/drink)!

She started out as our travel agent, but ended up as a friend. We hope that we can one day return the hospitality that she showed us.

PS - One can check Facebook to find her. Her email address is: - [email protected]

Sandeep_Menon: But for the fact that you have posted once before (on the S. Amer. forum) this would seem to be an advertisement - totally over the top gushy. Not to be taken seriously IMO.

I guess all I can say is that it is very unfortunate that you have never had an excellent vacation, perhaps only something between mediocre and good. Perhaps you should take a trip to China!

And you know what they say about opinions..........

We used Easy Tour China for our family holiday last summer and would recommend them highly! We worked with Charile Chen and actually had a great dinner (on Charile's treat) when we were in Guilin. Our itinerary included Beijing, Xian, Juighaigou, Chengdu, Yanghshou, Hing Kong, cruise to Sanya then Vietnam on Royal Carribean followed by a couple of nights in Shanghai. In all cases the hotels, guides and food exceeded our expectations.
