Budget Car Renal of Thailand has some nice driving maps in PDF format. The maps include suggested lodging places, as well as sites/stops of interest.

Nice easy drive, good roads and takes about 3 hours as I recall. I agree with zengeos the budget map is excellent.i have read some post about thesmoke/haze problem in the north - if you get a chance post some news - I am in CR in 2 weeks and would appreciate a heads up on how bad it is.

Many thanks for the suggestion and advice. I have printed out the map. We leave for Thailand tomorrow and will be back April 1 so am not sure if I'll be back in time to be useful for you, CRellston, but will post all the news on my return.
