Custom Men's Tailor in Bali

I know that Hong Kong is the best place to have custom suits made at 40% of US prices and Bangkok is second though they use a bit lower quality fabrics but the price is 1/3rd of US prices. But in Bali I read very mixed reviews about Anika and Janoka so I wonder if it's worth eeeven considering.. I want top quality (Fendi, Boss,, Gucci) 100% wool 150 superfine fabric in 2 piece suits for $400 or less but made by a first class tailor. I can get that in Bangkok but in Hong Kong it is $500+. Are there tailors who carry fabrics of that quality and are excellent talors that could make up 2-3 suits for me. I have the time for 3 fittings so I am not trying to get a 24 hour special.

Stan, are you stopping in SIngapore? SIngapore has excellent tailors, excellent fabrics, the equal of Hong Kong. Personally, I wouldn't opt for tailoring in Bali.

Kathie; I know Singapore but this trip the flight pattern is JFK-HK-Densepar and I am not stopping in HK just to have suits made. I think I may have to pass. I have heard names like Brisbane and Alta Moda but cannot get enough of a fix in whether the fabric is genuine say Gucci 150's Superfine wool but a blend with polyester that will loose it's shapeafter sever cleanings.

I too would forget the idea of having a high quality suit made, anywhere in Indonesia. I think even the politicians and millionaires in Jakarta wear Zegna and Armani suits, and only have their batik shirts made in Indonesia. No one wears suits in Bali, so there is not much of a market for that. And of course as you mention, there is the problem of un-truth in labeling. Alta Moda is a very nice shop but I would never have anything made there...the tailoring is just not there.
