Yes, there's two toll stops. $4 each time, then $4 each time on your way out. I saw a building almost completed which will be the third one.
You can buy your tickets for Koh Ker at these stops, but whether you are going there or not, you pay the toll.
The funniest part is that part of that road is paved, and part of it is hardpack. The place where you pay the toll is where it turns to hard-pack.

Thanks for that information. The officals seeme to love getting every dollar they can out of the tourists. If it was a benefit to the people I would not mind but they will see nothing. Why charge tolls if they want to open this area up to more tourists. Will the locals also pay this when using the new road I wonder.
