Connection Time in Taipei
Hi all, we are planning our trip to Asia. Our goal is to fly from Los Angeles to Bangkok and then catch a flight to Cambodia. We’ll eventually leave Bangkok and return to Los Angeles. I’m currently looking at China Airlines because they are part of Sky Miles, and they have good rates for Premium Economy. The China Airlines flights stops in Taipei and then a connecting flight to Bangkok. The layover can be 1 hour or 1: 40. I’m not certain if that is sufficient time to arrive, go through customs, and check in for our next flight to Bangkok. Other China Airlines flights have 5-plus hour layovers. Do you think 1:40 is enough time to make the connecting flight from Los Angeles to Taipei to Bangkok? Thank you,

I see that trip on Google Flights. Flights CI 7 and CI 883, right? The second flight doesn't have premium economy.
You can get from LAX to Siem Reap (SAI) on Sky Team with two stops. The second stop would be in Vietnam. Looks like all of the flights to SAI would have regular economy seats and no PE.

I have not used TPE, ever, but would be ok with that 100 min conversation. Flight CI 883 departs at 7AM and is the first flight of the day from TPE to BKK. There are three more after that.
If you are not comfortable with that connection time then you should be able to book the next flight at 10:05.
