China Airlines Luggage Weight Restrictions
We have been told for our upcoming trip to China that on our internal China airline side trips to Wuhan, Xian, and then Peiping, that we will have a luggage restriction of 44 pounds per person. We fly via a U.S. carrier into Shanghai, and back from Peiping, with a luggage allowance of 66 pounds. How have you coped with this difference in weight allowances?

You cope by taking no more than 44 lbs. into Shanghai and through China with you. You then can pick up an additional 22 lbs. of gifts, souvenirs, personal items etc. in Beijing and carry them home in your checked luggage with you or you can return with the same 44 lbs.
