CHI Spa in Shangril La Bangkok
Has anyone tried this spa? Website looks impressive. We are staying at the S La for our first 4 days in BKK and wanted to do one of their package treatments on the first day to help with the jetlag. Have seen Kathie's (ROS Mandara),Lucy(Spa on 9th) and Gpanda's (will try do get a massage every day
) suggestions and will try those palces but haven't seen any review of this place.

i do know that when we were staying at sh-la last june a good portion of that area was being re-done, so it should be very lovely....most anything that sh-la does is done well....it will not be cheap...have you joined their golden circle club? lots of benefits from it

Kathie: Totally agree with you!
Gpanda: Full report on return in mid March and we always do the sauna
rhkkmk: Got our Golden Circle membership on your earlier recommendation to someone else.
Are the GC rooms in the Kruthep(spelling) Wing? Which wing do you prefer? Do all have river views?
Aloha!

not all have a river view in the sh-la wing...no the gc rooms are all over...only the more expensive rooms are in the ktp. wing....i prefer the main wing as that is where everything is happening...the pool at the ktp wing was closed when we were there so nothing much was happening in that wing during our stay...they are also converting a few floors over to serviced apartments in that wing...
its a huge place so being close to the main pool and restaurants and front door is impt to me....the kthp wing has its own front door but not much is happening there... more like a lux apartment lobby in a big city...the shops are at that end of the building however and so is the sky train..

I tried the Chi Spa last September. It's a really gorgeous spa with wonderful Tibetan carpets and flickering candles everywhere. Very peaceful, elegant, and sophisticated. Many of the treatments are advertised as Himalayan and Tibetan in origin. The treatment rooms are some of the biggest you'll ever see. Absolutely huge and well designed. I had a three-hour treatment. I liked the scrubs, but thought the massage was just average. A friend of mine recently went to Bangkok and tried it. He liked it and said he was most impressed by the beautiful design and ambience, as well as the luxurious treatment room. It's definitely worth a visit, especially since you're staying at the hotel.
