Central Embassy near Ploenchit & Wireless – 2013

The Feb 2011 article in the Bangkok Post re: Central Embassy project is to start soon and scheduled to be completed last quarter 2013. It is a 37-floor complex comprising of an 8-story retail and 30-floor luxury hotel. The project will lead to a 400 meter combined facade for Central Embassy and Central Chidlom with a skybridge connecting the two.

The Park Hyatt Bangkok is the luxury hotel ... thus far. I doubt it will be ready by the end of 2013.

Is this the empty lot next to the Central Chitlom department store, on the corner? There was a small carnival there, on one of my recent trips, but it was gone in December/January I think. Or is it further down the street?
I hope BKK is not over-building... time will tell.
