Causeway Bay hotel
Hello -
I need to book a hotel in Causeway Bay for 5 nights in October. I would like a good size room as we will be bringing our 1 yr old with us and need room for a crib. I would like something that includes breakfast. We are thinking about Park Lane or Excelsior - but not really sure. I am open to suggestions for other Causeway Bay hotels also. I don't want to spend more than US$200 per night. Any suggestions?

Both are decent hotels, but the Parklane has much bigger rooms. The Excelsior is infamous for their pretty small ones.
Parklane's website says their rooms are 33sq meter. Excelsior's standard rooms are 23 sq meter; even their superior rooms are only 27 sq meter.

I also agree on the Park Lane a nice hotel in a good location in Causeway Bay. This is an especially good hotel as for October if by any chance you will be there on the night of October 6 or 7 as that is THE place to be to see all the lovely lanterns which will be in the park for the mid-autumn festival which takes places on Friday October 7. That evening, thousands of people go to Victoria Park which fronts the hotel and bring lanterns. It is a really beautiful sights, and people go to the bar on the top of the hotel to look down on the sight. The main night for it is I believe October 7, but some does also take place on the 6th as well, so if you will be there either night, make sure you ask for a room on a high floor fronting Victoria Park. There are events going on inside the park in conjunction with the festival (which is a major public holiday in Hong Kong),so you should take a walk through the park as well.

check out Metropart hotel.
i think you can get a suite for less than 200$.
it's a 10 min walk to causway-bay, and right next to the Tin-Hau subway station.
i've been there and loved it. it's also hightly recommended on tripadvisor
