Cathay is advising passengers of an 11lb.restriction for carry on baggage.Has anyone flown Cathay recently and can say if this is being "strictly enforced"?Thank you! <BR>Tod

some airlines ( British) have a 5lb restriction so don't moan!!

Flew Cathay last week from San Francisco to Bangkok(via Hong Kong) and no body enforced any weight limit for carry on. If how ever you boarded the flight from Hong Kong they are quite strict on the dimension of the carry on. If your carry on does not look big or heavy you'll get away with it.

Tod,<BR><BR>I just flew back from Hong Kong on April 7. I always fly Cathay and I have never encountered problems (as long as luggage meets the requirements for carry-on). You can cram additional things in a small (emphasis on small) knapsack as well.<BR><BR>Bart

CP seemed laid back to me with carry-ons. You shouldn't have a problem.
