Bridge clubs in SEA

Most of you will probably go WHAT!!!! She is traveling to SEA and wants to play cards.

I like to play bridge and I will be traveling on my own for 2 months through China, Vietnam and Cambodia. If on a night when I feel lonely, or need a Bridge fix, I could hook up with a club it would be nice to know that there is one.

English is of course a prerequisite. I know that there are many Chinese players and I like to be covering my bases. If there is an answer to this question I am sure one of you will have it.

Nywoman -- I just came across this post, I suggest for China you google for expat sites, i.e. chinaexpat, shanghaiexpat, and type in bridge club, there must be one around.

My DH found his hobby club in Shanghai in the french concession near where we were staying, all the chinese he met spoke good english, spent an afternoon with them when I went shopping for gifts.

Thanks Shangahainese,
Great suggestion, don't even know if I'll have time but I like alternatives.

Here is the link to the Singapore Contract Bridge Association http://www.scba.org.sg/ and the Hong Kong Contract Bridge Association http://www.hkcba.org/, they also give links to other associations throughout SE Asia.

I would also say to take a look at the World Bridge Federation http://www.worldbridge.org/home.asp and look for SE Asian member nations.

The China Contract Bride Association is all in Chinese, which makes me wonder if you could find games in English, but take a look at http://www.ccba.org.cn/action/index.php

Thank you Cicerone,
Unfortunately there is no contact name or any information for China at the world Federation Site. They show how many members China has and that is it.

Looking at my schedule I was probably too ambitious when I first posted this. If I happen upon a game, great, if not I think I will be OK
