Botanical/Orchid Garden Singapore

Please could anyone tell me the best way to get there from Raffles The Plaza (now Fairmont). I'd love to go but time is limited (1 day only!)

Taxis are cheap and it's not a long drive. The botaniacl gardens are not close to an MRT stop. Tell the taxi driver that you want to be dropped off at the entrance closest to the orchid garden. Pick up a map of the botanical garden at the entrance.
