Boston to Delhi - which airline
I'm torn over which airline/route to take from Boston to Delhi. Based on lack of long layovers and price, Air Canada, Alitalia and British Airway lead. However, nervous about Air Canada for a long haul and I have not been thrilled with Alitalia for past flights. Suggestions from those that have done this or a similar route? I am leaning towards paying a bit more for either an Air France or KLM flight. I have flown KLM and was pleased, but I have not flow Air France before.
Thanks in advance.

BTW, if you see a fast routing on Air Canada, it's probably using Swiss International to Zurich, and then Air Canada to DEL. That's a fine way to go as well.
In general, avoid London Heathrow (LHR) and Paris CDG for transit.

Problem with VS is that their LHR-DEL flights leaves late in the evening. So one has a whole day in London, which may not be what the OP wants.
Anyways, Air Canada uses their ancient 767s for India. No personal video screens, small overhead luggage bins, etc...

Thanks for the feedback. Air Canada is Boston to Toronto to Delhi. I've just read bad things about AC and this thread confirms. I looked at Newark but would require full day/night waiting there. Virgin has absurd layover. Perhaps I'll look more closely at Luftansa. Thought about Chicago route, but I hate flying AA.
Any more thoughts?

You could consider Jet Airways out of NY - they have excellent service, not sure what planes they fly. Will entail a LHR connection tho. Also take a look at Emirates - will be prob NY-Dubai-Delhi but great airline, fab service and planes.

The wait at EWR on Continental should be minimal on both legs.
For example, if you go next week:
BOS-EWR 5:30p - 6:57p
EWR-DEL 8:45p - 8:15p+1
Total outbound 17:15.
DEL-EWR 10:45p - 4:35a+1
EWR-BOS 6:30a - 7:31a
Total inbound 18:16.

From NYC Emirates have twice daily non stops to Dubai with connections to Deli, you have seatback TVs in coach on all aircraft, good service etc. If from BOS Air France via CDG. Bob is using Air France from Boston to Asia later this year so maybe he has some tips on fares.

Don't even think of any flight other than the CO flight out of Newark. I live in Boston. Last Dec, I hopped a 50 minute flight to Newark (there are around 10 a day), got on the 8:30 PM non-stop to Delhi, fell asleep and woke up three hours before landing (13.5 hours). There was no charge for my Boston-Newark leg. CO is terrific and the prices are good.
