BKK-Tong-Suggestions

Tong has foolishly agreed to spend 11/29/07 with Beth and me. We're looking for suggestions for rare sights and activities. Bob, you can refrain from your usual.

HI Andy, if you are going to stay in Bangkok your day with Tong, it might be fun to stop at the deaf school where we did. Tong took us right to it. All the teachers are hearing and speak english and will interpret for you to the kids. They love seeing the americans visit the school. I doubt its anything that you would be interested in, but you have done so much in BKK already its hard to think of new things to do! If you do go, it would only be like 20 or 30 minutes of the day

Travelduo-I started off by asking Tong about ideas. I thought I would post to seek other input.

Nikki-the market idea is a good one. It was Lori's (offwego) post about eating their way through BKK. Did you notice that Bob and Karen may visit us in Bali in May 2008. You and Muffin should plan accordingly. We had great fun with you at dinner at Cyan.

Andy
On another thread (lost on page 72 or somewhere deep in the catacombs) you asked about Phuket hotels, since Mom Tri's didn't honor your rate. But you said NOT the Katathani Resort. I asked why, and you never did respond. Why not the Katathani??? It's a fantastic resort. I really think you would like it.

Of course, the panda makes you laugh. My brother works at a Silicon Valley place with other computer nerds. He appointed himself, Minister of Fun. It's a genetic thing. Bob, genes are what mammals have and Needhamites do not. They can't spell DNA.

Nikki, think about it. We're looking at the last two weeks in May 2008.

Muffin exhibited precious little sensitivity at our dinner at Cyan. In fact, he told one of the best stories of the night. I'm sure he is inured to Pandas in Speedos.

Don't be ridiculous, Muffin is obviuosly a "he". For others to determinewhether he is of the "stud" variety.

Carol (is that with an e or without i can never remember?) Muffin is most definately a he. I cant even recall why Bob started calling him Muffin but it stuck. it also doesn,t help that he once got told he looked like a woman... but thats enough said about that story. think we will keep it confined to the guest at c'yan.... (mind you it still makes me laugh every time i hear it....)

Once again,a well-meaning thread has lost its way. I renew my inquiry concerning fun and original things to do with Tong as our guide in November. I promise to consume a muffin on the day in question.

Sorry for the confusion. And sorry for your thread getting sidetracked, Andy.

I guess I should have gone back and read other postings from you, smeagol, and I would have figured it out about Muffin. lol
