Best airline to Thailand
My husband and I will be attending a business meeting in Thailand in mid-October. We make our own travel reservations and I was wondering for the sake of one-pass miles if anyone knew if Continental or its code-share partners flew to Thailand? If not, what airline would you recommend? Many thanks.

Debbie,
Continental airline does not really fly to bkk, however, from Newark and Houston you can connect to Tokyo Narita on NW to bkk.
I think it will depend on where you really are, if you are on the east coast, it should be easier to fly via europe, but if you are on the pacific coast, then fly transpacific.

Hi Debbie,
I flew American from Chicago to LA, then connected to an Asiana flight to Seoul with a 12 hour layover (free hotel room furnished, slept and showered), then Asiana again to Bangkok. If you're a collector of American Airlines miles, ALL the Asiana ones counted, too. Good service, food, etc. if you have a little time to play with.

Continetal go from Newark to HKG but then you must 'off-line' to another carrier. UA and NW have thru services to Bangkok. A lot depends on the simple question of where you are flying 'from'???? Eva Air, Asiana, ANA,JAL,China Airlines,NW,UA all can get you thru same-airline but depends on where you are flying from. Thai only flys from LAX and the service is not as good as it was.
