Benjarong

I would like to buy Benjarong China while in Thailand. We will be on a tour starting in Bangkok and ending in Chiang Mai. Any recommendations for the best price and selection?

thee is a factory that many people stop at on the way to the floating market and many consider this the best place to buy...

you will see it everywhere for sale so it is not hard to find...

The place near the floating market is called Pinsuwan Benjarong. You can purchase small pieces there or have pieces made to order. I am not sure they have figured out shipping though - our driver handled all of the shipping arrangements for us when the pieces were complete.

There is also a fairly large Benjarong place in the River City mall near the Royal Orchid Sheraton.

Yes, Pinsuwan Benjarong is very nice and you can have it custom made to your likings. I was there in December. Happy Travels!

Yes I agree with Guen and Craig. The place is called:

Ban Pinsuwan Benjarong
32/1 Moo 7 Bangchang
Ampawa Samutsongkhram Thailand 75110
Ph# 034-751322 Fax# 034-725278

If you custom make your porcelain there it will take about 6 months to complete. They tell you this up front and in our experience with them were right on time.

We are very pleased with our purchase there and highly recommend Benjarong. They have many beautiful designs to pick from or can copy anything you design as well.

They ship to the US using your choice of FEDEX, UPS or DHL. We chose DHL as they are the new kids on the block thus their rates are cheaper. We had the packages in hand 3 days after they shipped from Thailand.

If you do go, be sure to visit their museum dedicated to TIME right on the property.

Aloha!
