Beijing Hotel and District info needed

Hi All,
I'll be traveling to Beijing this fall. I have tentative plans to stay at the He Dong Hotel. This Hotel is located near Xidan Commercial Street in the Xuanu District.
I'm hoping someone can provide an overview of this Hotel/area.
Is this a budget/economy Hotel?, near subway?
I have heard that this Hotel is somewhat hard to find. Is it located near any of the "sites"?.
I appreciate any comments.

The hotel is a budget hotel. It is near Tianmen Square.

A quick Google turned up the site below (there are others) which provides an overview and map. If the site is to be believed it's indeed in the Xuanwu District, not far from public transport, including a subway stop. It's SSW of Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum (Forbidden City) but I think a little further than a short stroll. However, a cab ride to these and other central locations will be inexpensive.

At the listed room rates I wouldn't expect luxury - one site rated it as 2-star - but it would be worth trying to locate some reviews.

We just went on a honeymoon to tour China and at first, we were daunted by the fact that we don't speak Chinese so it’s difficult to book china flights but then we found a great company that helps us book cheap tickets in China: http://www.bamboobookings.com
