Beach in Hongkong
I will be in HK in September. I understand that the weather is still hot there. If someone can help me if I can find a good nice clean beach to swim. I appreciate all your advices.
Best regards

Check out HKG island. Close to the PENINSULA Hotel is a beach which of course, is frequented by locals. But it's also impressive to have a dinner at the chinese restaurant inside this execptional building.

I think the advice that most will give you is that Hong Kong is not a beach destination. There are beaches certainly, but the water quality can be very dubious for swimming, not least because of the effluent sweeping down the Pearl River from mainland China.
If you do want to swim in the sea it's generally best to head to outlying islands. For a summary of what there is, go to discoverhongkong.com and type 'beach' or 'swimming' in the search box.

There're some nice beaches in HK, but avoid going on weekends, when it's hot and sunny, the beaches are jam packed. Suggestions are South Bay, Big Wave Bay and Deep Water Bay. All on the south side of HK island.

We were in Hong Kong five years ago. We went to Lamma island. Planned a romantic hike through the island, swim in the sea along the way, only to discover the sea has double barrier shark nets. Many warnings etc. Swim with caution.
