Ok Guen and Kathie - you need to start walking the talk and buy that BKK condo so we fodorites can then take advantage of you and use the condo when you are not there on our BKK vacations. At a rediculously low rental rate of course- you know that which you would charge your family to use!

As far as L.A. goes...almost my whole life we've been hearing that we would be falling into the ocean and that the BIG quake is coming...etc... etc...etc... Well, we are an incredibly resilient city/state that has regularly dealt with fires, floods, mudslides, earthquakes, etc...so I don't ever plan to permanently move out of L.A.County. Plus, who wants to move to bad weather. Smiles.
I'll just be living, part-time in two disaster areas. The Thai name for Bangkok means City of Angels as well as L.A. meaning City of Angels. So, I'll be in both City of Angels and hopefully both my American and Thai guardian angels will continue to watch over me as they have been. Happy Travels!
