I think macbeanie will be in town at that time... not 100% sure though.

I leave EARLY on Nov 2 for home, so my own preference would be afternoon sometime.

As long as its past cocktail hour....I will need one maybe two so as to make it even matching wits with rhkkmk....lol

Lunch sounds good too....then brad and I can cruise bangkok while you and karen take linda shopping at SJ or Nana....., haha

OK, the reality is that we have nothing planned in stone this time around so anytime is good for us that day. We just plan on partying, kicking back, lazing around, eating good food, shopping, and enjoying ourselves for 10 days in Thailand.

Ok, did you notice the Harvard comma DMB?

Aloha!

The more the better! Bob I think there's a "u" in his name but it' both silent and invisible but definitely profoundly present.

The 1st is a Thursday so I cannot promise 100% that I will be able to attend during the business day - some of us have to work!

I quite like the lunches at the Four Season hotel, Biscotti & Madison 3 course lunch is only around $25 per person with a buffet starter. Another venue that you guys have not tried is the Water Library(European leaning toward French food) and the lunch there is around $30 per head. And then there's Gaggan(Indian molecular food) with a 4 course lunch at $25. Private room with a view into the kitchen can seat 8 - 10 people there.

For Thai food there's Sra Bua at the Kempinski but the "happening" place at the moment for Thai food is the "Issaya Siamese Club" - http://www.ianchalermkittichai.com/u...gkok#more-1182

Better link for the restaurant: http://www.issaya.com/issaya-index.php

In the next 7 - 30 days Ken will be here as well as Nicky. Will invite them and see if they like it.

Or I could take you guys on a street food tour and eat fried insects like our "rock star" wannabe friend.

Bob: Yes, we will be in BKK Nov. 1-4. We get there on Oct. 31, so would have time to rest up the am of the 1st. Count us in ~~ where and when is fine with us. Make the decision, and let us know.

Really want to have 'dinnertime' with Thai friends before going home. If you plan dinner.... I may bow out... even though this entire thread started with MY NAME....
