My husband and I will be at the ROS from Oct 22-25. If anyone is still around, give us a shout! Love to meet fellow Fodor groupies!! We are staying at the "crazy deal" ROS because of the good tips left by others on this list!!! Asia Forum ROCKS!

Hi Hanunan. Why not go to a Thai restaurant? So many great choices!
Dim sum is all the same to me, much like sushi- unless you're at Nobu Is it possible to eat outstanding dim sum? (if yes, can you rec a restaurant for me?) Thanks

I don't know what you tourists like but here goes.
IMO best Sushi/Sashimi at the moment = Honmono.
Best Dim Sum - any of the finer Chinese restaurant at one of the top hotels.
Best Thai - don't know. What I like and even between my Thai friends are often not the same. If you enjoy it then it's good I guess.
Why dim sum for a GTG? Why not? At the moment it's truffle seasons and if it were up to me I would suggest some where with a truffle promotion. Imagine 2,000 Baht Pad Thai!

Most Italian restaurants in Bangkok are having it at the moment Kathie and maybe the French as well but I haven't check. Last night at Biscoti I had some soup with truffle and it cost 2,000 Baht! Most dishes are over 1,700 Baht with truffles so I thought to myself what would Pad Thai taste like with truffles? Right now I'm a bit crazy about Amarone so I am enjoying anything Italian.
