Did you ever say, vinovino, in what part of the city you are staying? I'm assuming either Sukhumvit or Silom. Which place? Hotel or apt?
You should go to the Pickled Liver on soi 11, tell Maeng you are one of my internet friends (from fodors) and have her prepare her garlic shrimp, which isn't on the menu. Delicious!
If you need directions to get there, from Sukhumvit... left side of the soi as you are walking in. Go past Zanzibar restaurant (another good place) and pass their parking lot. You will see a small soi going back behind Cheap Charlie's (a popular beer place). Go on around that back soi to almost the far corner. PL is on the left. If you go past about 5pm, there is outside dining. Next door is the Tapas place... another good food option in that area.
A report on your findings after the turmoil, if you don't mind!!!

vinovino, I'd like your opinion of Adelphi Grande. For me, it's too unhandy to the skytrain, and it isn't close to my friends on soi 11. I'll stick to my Adelphi Suites on soi 8. Do they have apartments or is it a regular hotel? I'll try to email Maeng to let her know to keep an eye out for you.
BC, the name comes from a British soccer player (oops... I think they call it football). Can't think of the name of the guy right now... someone will know. He died at a young age from a pickled liver... too much drinking. The bar has many references to him, actually.
