Bali Lodging Question

Can anyone give me an opinion on where to stay in bali. I am looking for a quiet relaxed vacation and to dive a few times. I have been looking at the Damai Lovina Villas or the Matahari Beach resort in Northern Bali.

Thanks
Mike

Returned from Bali in November and would recommend the Puri Bagus Hotel in Candidasa. The village itself is very quiet and out of the way, but provides good access to dive spots in the north (Tulumben) and on the east coast. There is actually a dive shop located right on sight.

Although I was not there, Puri Bagus also has a location at Lovina.

hi there,
have been to Lovina a few years ago but heard nothing realy changed. There are a few accos starting from 10 $, and as we have seen, all are worth the price. A little bargain is ok to get it. Lovina is far away from the Aussis in Kuta and far away from beach party. But good for relax, culture, and dive. There is a little island in the north west (forgot the name, but it is a natural resort) where You find excelent conditions. Have been in Dec, nice, warm with a few thunder storms in the night, but nothing to worry about.
have fun
Gar

Hi:
I went there in April, and would recommend a wonderful hotel in Lovina Beach. )I'm used to backpackers places, so this was a treat.) It is the Aditya - . I stayed at the Aditya Hotel for $29 - they advertise prices starting at $30 a double. They even have an e-mail address - [email protected] and are supposed to be on a web site - www.indo.com/hotels/aditya Their phone there is (62-362) 41059 and 41981. The hotel is incredible - pool with bar in the middle, air-conditioned rooms, etc.
If you want more information, please e-mail me.
Lynda
