ATM in China
Hello everyone,
We are going to Beijing in 2 weeks and have a question about ATM in China.
We have 2 checking accounts in Bank of America. When we withdraw money from the ATM in the US, we can choose from which account to withdraw money from.
Do the ATM's in China let us choose the account also?
Thank you so much for your help.

We live in China and have no problem with the atms. We are given the choice to use english tor chinese then the next screen will ask what you want to do withdraw or balance. If you withdraw it gives you a choice of chequing, savings or credit card. I would recommend you use the bank of china, some of the other banks don't like north american debit card but your 100 percent safe with Bank of China
P.S. There is a bank of china branch about every 10 blocks in most cities.

When I was in China in July, people in my group who bank with BofA said China Construction Bank is the one affiliated with BofA. Check with your bank before you go to see what kind of fee reduction, etc. you might get. Their ATMs were almost as frequent as the ubiquitous Bank of China.
I had no problem using Bank of China or China Construction Bank ATMs (though I tried mostly to use HSBC, since that is my bank). As keldar said, you are prompted to choose English, then there are choices for which account, etc.

Thank you all so much for your help on this.
I have just called BofA to get a clear answer.
Since I have 2 checking accounts but 1 ATM card, I would not be given an option to choose which account to withdraw from when withdrawing money in China. It will automatically be withdrawn from the first checking account.
So, we have requested a separate ATM card for the second checking account.
