Asia flight itinerary advice
Does this flight itinerary make sense?
Korea - Shanghai - Japan - Taiwan - Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia
I don't know that much about Southeast Asia, so was wondering if this direction made sense (both cost-efficient and logistically). I basically just put this together based on what seemed to make sense distance-wise.

Your best bet is to just go play around on a site like kayak.com. Just a few searches on kayak.com shows that saigon (HCMC) is one of the cheapest places to leave for vientiane. AirAsia is another good budget airline, but you'll have to compare prices on their own site.
How long are you going to be traveling in these countries? Unless you have a lot of time to average out the expense of flying between all of them, it is going to be a very expensive trip.

Have you thought about a round the world ticket? These can often save you a fortune. Not sure where you live but STA Travel and Trailfinders usually offer the best deals. A major advantage is that they are fully flexibale so you can change your plans (within limits) as you go.

Not sure where you are coming from, but check out the Star Alliance Circle Asia pass at http://www.staralliance.com/en/fares...es/circle-asia. You have to start and end in the same country, but you can put in lots of different itineraries and see what would work best for you. I just completed a round-the-world trip with Star Alliance and found it to be an excellent option.
