APA Hotels

I am going to Japan next year. I am very excited. I have booked a hotel on booking in APA hotel chain. Is there anyone who stayed in these hotels? It seemed to be the one of the cheapest options however which matters for me when you go for 2 weeks. Do you think I made the right decision booking in APA or shoud I consider something else? I heard very different opinions about them.

I just saw an old post on Tripadvisor. It looks like their rooms are very small, even in comparison to the usual small rooms in Japan:

Folks here typically have not mentioned staying in that chain. Many folks here like the Dormy Inns. I stayed in one, and I thought the breakfast was amazing, and the room was adequate, and well maintained.

I have also read that APA rooms are very small but have never stayed in any. I often stay in Toyoko Inns - their rooms are small but not a problem for a single person like me imo. However, I would not want to stay in one for more than two or three days as there really is just about no storage space...other than putting the suitcase under the bed.....and there is a desk-like area which sometimes has a shelf underneath it....

Many years ago, I stayed at the APA Hotel Kanazawa Chuo in Kanazawa. The location worked well for me, and I liked the open-air roof-top bath, but the room was very small. And it was a long time ago, and so my experience might not be relevant. That hotel's current reviews aren't awful, but they don't look particularly good.

I stayed in the APA Fukushima last spring. It was a pretty small room for my husband and I, but very clean and the bathroom was okay. The lobby, breakfast room, and the laundry and baths were clean and nicely decorated. Staff were polite, but English skills noticeably less than other businesses in the area. They are very geared to budget Japanese businessmen and travelers, so food, tourist info in the lobby and room/restaurant notices may be a bit less familiar to people who don't speak Japanese.

It is 10m for a single one. I am going alone so i don't need a big one. But the question is if the 10m room is with bathroom or bathroom is not counted in it.
I am going in end if march, beginning of the April. Possibly a hanami season. The cost is approx 650 pounds for 8 nights in Asakusa Area. So the price is nice, i think. I may be struggling to find something for that price....i think...

If you haven't prepaid it can't hurt to keep looking.....I often check with booking.com and then go to the hotel's website where sometimes the price is better....Toyoko Inn, Dormy as mentioned above, Mystays.....
Also it's more understandable if you post in yen - assuming you mean British pounds, that comes to almost 12,000 a night. I see cheaper prices on booking for some APAs.....

I stayed at APA Kanazwa Chuo last month. It was $48 per night, booked at Agoda. That is about 5,200 JPY. I paid another 2500 JPY per night to get a larger bed. The room was very small, but fine for two nights.

Not that the price of an APA hotel in Kanazawa matters when the subject is Tokyo. But I stayed there before and at the APA in Gion, Kyoto
