Any input on Krabi?

Message: Does anyone have any opinions on the following itinerary? Beijing for three days - Staying at the Crowne Plaza, then taking train to Kowloon - staying at
the YMCA or Sheraton, then flying to Bangkok - staying at the Mariott or Sheridan, then flying to Krabi and possibly staying at the Srilanta. I'm mostly curious about Bangkok and Krabi hotels, and also
opinions about Krabi. I will on this great adventure for the last two weeks of may. Thanks for anything!

Let's see, that's four places in two weeks, train from Beijing to Kowloon, flying to Bangkok, then flying to Krabi? That's way too much to fit in two weeks. You're going to spend most of three days in transit, and that doesn't include flying to Beijing and out of Krabi. You'll have two or at most three days at any one place. You could spend a week at any one of these places and not get bored.

As for hotels, I assume that the "Sheriden" in Bangkok is the Royal Orchid Sheraton. If so, it's a lovely property with a great location right on the river. I always stay in the Towers section of the hotel when I'm in Bangkok.

We stayed at the Pavilion Queen's Bay at Ao Nang and loved it! It's a really nice hotel!

I recently stayed in Railay beach near Krabi and it was great. Secluded and beautiful. We stayed at the Railay Village, one of three bungalow complexes on that side of the beach. Sand and Sea looked a little better. I agree on the not rushing - take your time and do what you can.
