AKA Resort Hua Hin
Anyone with any experiences to share?
We do know it is out of the way, not by the beach, but this is the relaxation portion of a honeymoon and our main interets are gorgeous surroundings, great service, and privacy.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

The location, from looking at their map, does not look that good and if the beach is important to you I would stay somewhere else.
The beach around Hua Hin town itself is not great and often the water is polluted. South of town, from the Sofitel Southward until Khoa Tak Kiap, has the best beach and I would choose a resort around there only.
My judgment is from only looking at the resort web site so the next time I'm down in Hua Hin I will try and stop by for a real look.

No personal experience of this hotel but highly recommended by one of our club members. Quite isolated, very luxurious. I believe this resort fits all of your requirements. Hau Hin is only ten minutes away so you can easilly up the tempo if you wish to.

mlb stayed, I have topped the post under 'Hua Hin brief report', easier than the long link!
I have not ventured up there as it is up in the hills, where you choose for honeymoon depends firstly if you want beach or not, there are the top beach places like Sofitel, Hyatt Regency and Wora Bura plus plenty of small boutique places like Kaban Tamor / S'Mor Spa or The Rock, but no private pools ( the Jacuzzi pools at S'Mor are real small ).
If you did not want ot be in town but wanted a Pool Villa the Evason Resort & Spa is about 30 minutes south of town, it's expensive, about USD 350-420 for a Pool villa, but it is an 'Evason'! ( though compare to their beachfront studios about 220 or normal rooms 100 )Evason Hideaway Pool Villas about 390-480.
Veranda Resort Cha Am ( about USD 380 with pool, normal rooms about 140-180 range) is another nice option.
Wora Bura Villa with jacuzzi also around 390, ( amazing when you think a Suite is about 220 and normal rooms about 110 ).
In all cases as soon as it's a pool or even jacuzzi the rate really shoots up, so you need to decide on what value you place on the 'private pool' as it makes a large difference.
If you want fine dining, restaurants in the evening at the beach then considor location. taxis are available all night. Bob and karen have just come back from the Hyatt.
Our own personal budget, we are down in the B 1,400-2,000 ( USD40-55 range, we always stay well comfortable for that)
You will see mlb mentioned about the new Pool Villas at the Sofitel, these are just finished, but as others will appreciate being location between the Hilton and Sofitel those are Pool villas only for those who want to be right in town!!
If you can tell us more of how you want to spend your days, whether just staying put or getting out and about and what your feeling is on dining out and shopping that's all a help. Whether you are into Golf, or just relaxing, whatever.
If you wanted to snorkel ( 2.5 hrs south of HH ) or venture into the national park then maybe the Evason is worth a thought, it's expensive even for food and drink but for the service it certainly cannot be faulted, and when you compare it to other Pool Villas perhaps the rate isn't that bad after all.
I think it comes down to the value of that private pool.
