Airport to Hotel

What is the best way to get from airport to Hotel[Peninsula}? How much should a cab cost? Im trying to decide if I should have the hotel pick me up.

Fran: what country will you be in? There are Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok ...

Metered Taxi - about 200 Baht (including 50 Baht airport surcharge) plus tolls (70-80 Baht).

Rather than using a metered taxi from the airport in Bangkok, I always use the taxi service inside the airport (you pay in advance at the desk ). With the traffic in Bangkok, I feel more secure in a nice, big Volvo than in one of the tiny taxis. You do pay more - though I can't remember the standard fare.
