Air China food safety

Since airline catering is done in the city of departure, should there be any concern about the food and water brought on board in Shanghi?

You can buy snacks in the airports; you might prefer them. Take power bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.

The food was awful on Air China but I did not care. I too carried candy bars and crackers and didnot eat what I could not identify. Loved China !

It's safe to eat, but taste is the true issue here.

It usually tastes like foam and salt, but one time I must have won some sort of lettery, because the meal was a fried noodle dish that was just salty, with no foam taste.

Pringles are available all over China

Airplanes seem to be quite new and I also thought the leg room seemed larger. The food was not very good, but I didn't feel that I needed to carry extra snacks. I always carry some for emergencies and I really didn't use them on the flight. Do carry extra reading material and don't count on watching movies. On our flight to China, the first film was a Japanese film with Chinese subtitles. Water safe-food safe but not the best, what's new on an airplane. China is great!
