In Japanese, use Chrome browser to translate, although the chart is clear about predicted dates without translation.

Mahalo kalihiwai!

This reminds me that Linda and I owe ourselves a 4 week trip to Japan during sakura season so prob next year 3/27/15 to around 4/30/15. We are planning from Kyushu(Kumamoto, Fukuoka, Aso) up through central Japapn and all the way up to and around Hirosaki and of course a return to our beloved Kakunodate. Yoshinoyama and other HT favorite sakura spots are on this agenda. Email me if any are interested in meeting up in Japan during this time

Here is the early 2014 forecast from the JG site also.

Aloha!

Thanks for the forecasts, kalihiwai2 and ht! Looking good for my Kyoto arrival the end of March!

ht, a bit too early to plan my 2115 trip, however I am planning areas north of Tokyo where I haven't traveled much such as Hirosaki and Kakunodate - will look forward to a gtg!

We would love to join you and Linda for the sakura, HT, but I'm afraid 2015 is too soon for a return trip to Japan (we have to save up enough Hyatt points again!).

HT thanks for the other link I was trying to find the english language equivalent.
I've already started an itinerary plan for 2015 and if our paths cross so much the better.
Kyushu heading north is in the works.
Will fill in details if the thread develops.

In the meantime I just found a great link for armchair traveling.
NHK World has some great travel and culture programs that are now available via..

http://bestofnhk.tv/

They just aired a replay special on Seasoning the Seasons about Yoshino but I couldn't find it
but the archives go way back and the photography in theses programs is spectacular.

Happy traveling Mara.
Looking forward to hearing about your trip
