Thanks Kathie for the Nana area. I have seen good stuff on Adelphi, Centerpoint. I will check out Siam. Do you have an idea how much the tailors charge for the sports coat, dress pants and shirts. Do I bargain with them also. thanks. alana

Sorry, I don't know current prices on men's tailoring. I expect some of the threads about tailoring have some prices.

Thanks for everyone's responses! I think there are a couple of things that we are skipping out on and doing stuff on our own.

alana:

I'm justing leaving a day before so we'll be there a day before the tour starts which is good. So you and your hubby is going in november when I am going? if so that's great! I'm flying out of San Francisco.

Kathy and Filmwill,

Thank you for your correction on my "Bridge" error. See, I told you I had a little jet lag. Anyway, we loved Thailand and hope all who go have as much enjoyment as we did. Thanks.

I would like to recommend you to visit the tiger temple where monks look after 27 tigers now. It is also a great opportunity for you to get close with the real tigers. Fantastic !

Alana, the prices for the tailoring are varied. If you can give us a budget for the pieces you want made, we can send you to the right places. Avoid the places that's have $99 suits!

The type of fabric you choose is an important componet also, do you know what type your DH is looking for?

Make sure you see the tailor the first day your are there!

senethip,
Your schedule looks very full. However, our 1st trip to Thailand we did lots of touring and tried to see everything (although we were not on an organizaed tour; just arranged things ourselves). Then the 2nd trip was much more relaxed; returned to our favorite places; Thai massages every day (rather than every other day on the 1st trip). You'll just love Thailand and want to return! Hope your travels is wonderful!!

These shorts are available everywhere. Dont worry, they will find you. Quality and sizes will determine the price, cheapies will start from 100baht. I think we bought some for the kids last year for 150 each.
