13 days - Trek in Nepal Feb 2012

We are planning on arriving in Nepal in mid Feb 2012, spending 2 nights in Kathmandu and then doing a 9 night trek and then back to Kathmandu for one night. We are considering either the Everest Panorama or the Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Does anyone have any thoughts on if either of these treks are possible for 9 nights. Thoughts on weather and guide companies would also be really helpful. Thanks!

Hi there,
Both treks are attractive for 9 nights. Yes, you can travel to Everest Region and have a panoramic views within 9 days. You can fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and hike up to Tyangboche for the best view of mt.Everest,Mt.Amadablam and more.

For your kind information here I can share the itinerary which could be useful for you.

Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla(2840) & trek to Phakding (2800m) 3 - 4 hours
Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6 - 7 hours
Day 03: Acclimatization & excursion day at Namche Bazaar
Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3789m)3 - 4 hours
Day 05: Khumjung to Tengboche (3860m)6- 7 hours
Day 06: Rest at Tengboche
Day 07: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar(3440m) 4 - 5 hours
Day 08: Namche Bazaar to Lukla(2840m)6 - 7 hours
Day 09: Lukla by flight to Kathmandu early morning.

As everybody know that Everest is top of the world. Whoever has got an opportunity to make holiday in Nepal. Everest is best choice. Enjoy your holiday in Nepal..
