1 night stopover in Singapore, what should we do?
Our flight offers a free 1 night stopover in Singapore or Hong Kong (if we go that route). Should we take up the offer or just head home after 5 weeks in Europe?
What things could we do with only 1 night stop over. It would basically amount to 24 hours. Any suggestions appreciated.

Singapore is a great city for food. You could visit a succession of hawker stalls or go out for a special dinner. You could stroll through the orchid garden at the botanical gardens or visit the Museum of Asian Civilizations. The Singapore Zoo gets kudos.
There is much to do and see.

We took the MRT from the airport to Clarke Quay with luggage but would not recommend that scenario.
Not sure about the distance to the airport. On the return trip to the airport from downtown Singapore at 6 am, the taxi ride took 20 minutes and the fare was $18 SIng.

hahaha. so funny here. Actually, if i were you, i am not going to visit zoo or what ever like that. Save your time for walking around the city center ( Orchard, Somerset, ... )and enjoy singapore food hawkers ( Agree with LAleslie ) or relax at Singapore river at night.....and go home

I am not sure if you have gone on your trip or not. The Singapore airport transfer lounge has many 3,5,8hr, etc tour for transfer travelers. You might consider them if you don't want to venture out on your own with luggage or you don't have any particular objectives, like shopping, see the malls, city lights, food, etc.
