Which gate at LHR does BA766 typically depart from?

I've been trying to find this info online but have had no success. I'm trying to figure out if it leaves from T5A, T5B or T5C? Can anyone help? FYI, BA766 is the LHR to OSL flight departing at 13:05. Thanks!

Usually the short-hauls leave from the main T5, but there's no way of knowing. BA assign gates on a dynamic basis; they can be different from one day to the next. The gates are usually posted on the reader boards around 90 min. before departure.

According to the LHR website, BA766 departs from T5.

http://www.heathrowairport.com/

Look on the right side of the page under "Which Terminal?" for arriving and departing flights.

Thanks! I knew the flight left from T5 but I wasn't sure if it was from the main T5 (aka T5A) or one of the satellite gates, T5B or T5C. I haven't been to Heathrow since before T5 was opened. It's always an adventure!

I fly regularly to Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Stockholm from T5, they generally go from the same gate each time. If you use the BA app for viewing your flights, checking in etc, you will see the assigned gate number before they appear on the screens.

Thanks everyone. We'll be arriving at 7:50am from Chicago on BA294 and have a 5hr layover. Which BA Galleries lounge would you recommend using?

We will enjoy exploring T5 but 5hrs is a long time to shop...well maybe not for my sister!

I do have the BA app so will be checking it for gate assignment.

Which BA Galleries lounge would you recommend using?

Assuming you didn't arrive in first class, then with 5 hours try them both. Don't go to the T5B Galleries unless your plane's leaving from B or C gates.

I prefer the larger south Galleries most of the time, but it can get very full. The north lounge is smaller and seems to have more suits drinking wine and yammering on their phones, but maybe that's a superficial read.

If for some reason you're able to get into the First lounge or Concorde, no further choices are required.

Thanks Gardyloo. First Class, I wish! But we're flying Club World which is nothing to sneeze at either...a splurge.

Since you will have a 5 hr layover, I would not sweat this small stuff such as which gate you think it might depart from. You will be able to get that info within 10min of deplaning.

Thanks...I've been reading up on the restaurants in T5 and Gordon's Plane Food caught my eye. Might get a picnic lunch for the 1pm flight to Oslo!

We're back and the connection to our flight to Oslo went without a hitch...we had plenty of time.

However, on our return the connection at LHR was a bit stressful.

We were in the smaller north BA lounge in T5A waiting for our gate to be posted. When it did finally get posted we had only 25 minutes to get to T5C before the gate closed. Fortunately the way to T5C was well marked, the next tram arrived just after we got to the station, and our gate was at the top of the escalator from the tram station.

If we had known our flight to Chicago would most likely leave from T5C, we would have spent our time at the BA lounge in T5B...lesson learned!
