Underwire bra at security

The only bras I own are underwire. What might I expect going through security for a flight to the UK? Should I go 'sans' to avoid problems? Clean responses please!

Saw news reports that underwire bras now trigger metal detector alarms. Get a non-underwire (we used to call them "sleeping" bras) if you want to avoid possible embarrassment -- and they're much more comfortable on long trips anyway.

I promise this is the truth...I was flying out of Salt Lake in October with my 17 year old daughter and it was her first time on an airplane. She set off the metal detector so they ran the wand over her and every time they went past her chest it would beep. I told them she was wearing an underwire bra but they made her stand on this green mat with her legs and arms outstretched while they frisked her. Her eyes were as big as saucers. We laugh about it now but it was quite uncomfortable for her at the time.

Seven years ago I had to go to our local county courthouse for traffic court. My underwire bra set off the security system. So, it might trip the alarm, but it's not a new thing...

Yep, mine set it off. And in fact, the little metal ring that attaches the strap to the bra set it off.<BR>Just glad I don't have an IUD anymore!!!!!! (LOL)
