Can a person go home at a transit

Hello. Me and my mother are having a holiday in Singapore. We are Sri Lankans. After 1 month we will be moving to Germany( having visa) We have bought a return air ticket. Which is Singapore to Frankfurt and then return back to Singapore. But that flight has a transit in Sri Lanka. So when coming back from Germany, will be be allowed to get down from Sri Lanka and go home rather than going back to Singapore? Since there is a transit? The reason why we bought that kind of a ticket is it was very cheap than buying 2 one way tickets per person. Please help guys

You are not "allowed" to do that. However, if you do not have checked baggage there is nothing to stop you. Although you might want to avoid flying the same airline again, and don't do it if you have a frequent flyer account with them.

You did not have to buy two one-way tickets.
You could have bought mult-destination tickets that would have allowed you to do what you want to do.
When is your trip? Perhaps, for a small fee, the airlines would re-book your flights.

Are you certain passengers will de-plane in Sri Lanka? I've been on flights that 'transit', but the passengers never leave the plane.

That would definitely put a spanner in the works.

Whether or not you deplane or are a FF member . . . I assume you will have luggage - right?

If so, the airline will NOT tag your bags to Sri Lanka -- so sure, you can leave the flight in Sri Lanka . . . But your luggage will travel on to Singapore.

Can I re-book my ticket so that, Singapore to Frankfurt and then back to Sri Lanka? Rather than going to Singapore? A little payment is ok. Should I email the airlines from which I bought the ticket?

Sure, most airlines will change your tickets - but the fees are often very high. It might be cheaper to just book a flight from Singapore back to Sri Lanka.
