Skyteam and FF Miles
I have miles on several skyteam partner airlines (Northwest and Delta being 2). Lets say I have 20,000 miles on Northwest and 40,000 on Delta. Can I take 30,000 from my Delta account and add it to my 20,000 on Northwest and get an award ticket to Europe on Northwest (50,000)?

"If I fly any Skyteam airline partner can I ask that those miles flown be credited to my Northwest account at the time of booking?"
Yes. Be careful about some of the European partners, however, as you might only get partial credit. Both NW and Delta have pretty good summaries as to what fares earn what mileage. You might also want to review the redemption charts for both carriers - Delta has some slightly lower redemption rates for some routes. For example, biz tickets to Europe are 90k rather than 100k. For coach, most rates are the same.

You don't have to decide when you book. You can wait until you're at the airport to tell them which FF account you want the miles to go to.
Or you can even not give them the FF number, and then send the boarding pass to whatever FF program after the flight.
But once miles are deposited to one account, you can't transfer out without some penalty or poor "exchange rate" via some 3rd party FF program.
